Our Community Involvement
Dr. Anh Do and Dr. Anthony Huynh, greatly believe in the importance of giving back in the community and doing our part in bettering the lives of others.
We are proudly part of the Florida State’s Low Vision Initiative. The Low Vision Iniatiative refers children who have low vision for a low vision exam to see what assistive devices and recommendations the child needs to succeed in school. The program provides free devices to families & is sponsored by the Department of Education. Only a few Low vision specialists in Florida have been invited to be a part of the study, and Dr. Anthony is honored to be a part of.
We also proudly donate to the Essilor Vision Foundation. The Foundation is committed to eliminating poor vision and its lifelong consequences, and to providing underprivileged people the opportunity to live a better life through better sight. Essilor Vision Foundation has provided over 1 million pairs of glasses to people in need so each one of them can experience life’s magic moments. Meet the girl to receive the one-millionth pair of glasses.
The way our vision works and our eyes works are very unique! Vision is our most important sense, and the eyes are such a vital organ. Changing the lives of those who are less fortunate greatly alters their quality of life. Many young students are misdiagnosed as having a learning disability, but actually have a vision problem (often myopia nearsightedness) and may go most of their lives under performing. There are so many stories of both Florida State’s Low Vision Initiative and the Essilor Vision Foundation, where kids school performance improved from an ‘F’ to an ‘A’.
Dr. Anh Do grew up in Orlando and Dr. Anthony Huynh has called Orlando home since 2013.
